Mud Angel Ceramics is a ceramics and lifestyle studio exploring ritual, tactility, and the quiet emotional life of objects. Through clay, apparel, and visual storytelling, the studio creates expressive forms that invite more intentional and romanticized ways of being. Rooted in play, imperfection, and material memory, Mud Angel Ceramics exists somewhere between functional object and cultural artifact—making pieces for people still committed to softness, curiosity, and whimsy within an extractive, disposable, and emotionally flattened world.

Founded by Ang (Angela) Meng, a queer Chinese-American artist working in ceramics and photography, the studio draws from both contemporary creative culture and the ceramic traditions woven throughout her upbringing in China. Her work is often characterized by movement, irregularity, and vivid color—an intentional contrast to the greyscale aesthetics and over-optimization that increasingly shape contemporary life. After half a decade in the tech industry, she left corporate life to pursue a more tactile, self-directed, and artful life.
